How page count drives the price
Saddle-stitched books print on folded sheets stapled through the spine, so pages come in multiples of four. We print 8, 12, 16, 20, 24 or 28 pages.
The table above shows 8-page prices: $749, $789, $1,289 and $1,359 for 2,500 in the four sizes. Each step up in pages adds paper and press time, and the builder shows the exact figure.
Picking a size
The 5.5″ × 8.5″ booklet is the most affordable and fits a purse or a back pocket. The 6″ × 9″ size gives a little more room for photos at a small premium.
The 8.5″ × 11″ and 9″ × 12″ catalogs suit product lines with lots of pictures, and they stand out in a mailbox.
Getting cost per copy down
At 10,000 copies, an 8-page 5.5″ × 8.5″ booklet costs $1599, about sixteen cents a copy. Trimming a few pages often saves more than switching sizes, so plan the page count before the design.
Design priced per page
Catalog design is charged per page: $49 a page for 5.5″ × 8.5″ booklets and $69 a page for the larger sizes. Send finished files and there is no design charge.
Mailing a catalog
Catalogs mail well to past customers, who already know your name and are most likely to reorder. Shipping the printed boxes to you is calculated from your ZIP code in the builder, and postage is paid to USPS when you mail.
For prospects you have never met, a cheaper postcard that points to your catalog online usually costs less per new customer. Compare both on our price list.
Talk through a big book
Catalogs have more choices than any other product: size, pages, quantity and paper. A call to 512-573-1977 gets every option priced in one go, so you can compare before you commit.
